Beards and Bellies Abound at OCTOBEARFEST 2015
Front Range Bears commemorates our 25th Anniversary the Mile-High way with “Bears in the City”
DENVER — The rugged, hirsute members of the Front Range Bears know how to have a good time. For their 25th anniversary, the Colorado social group invites their “large-and-in-charge,” “furry-without-worry” brethren and admirers from all over the country to join them Oct. 8-11 for Octobearfest 2015.
Since 1990 the club has provided a place to belong for bears — gay and bisexual men who identify as big, hairy and proud. The Front Range Bears’ annual Octobearfest party features a series of events and meet-ups. This year’s theme is “Bears in the City,” offering guests the chance to experience the best of Denver’s breweries, attractions, restaurants, legal buds and more.
“Our Octobearfest-ivities get bigger and better every year,” Front Range Bears president Charles Vigil said. “Denver is the perfect playground for bears to meet, mingle and make merry! We’re eager to welcome new friends and show them how our Mile-High club celebrates the season.”
“Bears in the City” activities range from day trips to the wonderful mountains and attractions around the city, a bear dance at Denver’s Gay Bear Bar, the Wrangler, attend our legal cannabis seminar, to a relaxing hot tub soak at Midtowne Spa with many more events in the works. There’s something for everyone. Guests can also take advantage of a special $75.00 nightly group rate at the Ramada Downtown, located in Denver’s historic Capitol Hill district. Enjoy Denver from the heart of the city, steps away from great restaurants, shops, attractions, recreational pot shops, and so much more! Accommodations include access to the Front Range Bears’ hospitality room, which provides you with unlimited libations and light fare with great conversation.
“If you’ve never been to the Mile High club, now’s the year to do it,” Member at large and event organizer Lou DeLucia said. “The Front Range Bears pride ourselves in creating a fun, memorable experience for our members and guests.”
The fun kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 8 and continues through Sunday, Oct. 11. A calendar of events and more details about the Front Range Bears is available at frontrangebears.org
